Pets Choice Digital Printed Wall Graphics Case Study

Pets Choice is a leading pet food manufacturer based in Blackburn, Lancashire. When the company made the short move to brand new administrative premises Lustalux was approached to provide our expertise in glass manifestation and wall graphics. The building consists of three floors of offices with large expanses of glass and blank walls which were crying out for some artistic flair. Lustalux duly obliged by applying “etched” or “sand blast” effect manifestation to all full height glass partitions which incorporated the Pets Choice company logo. As with many of our installations the manifestation not only brought the glass in line with building regulations but also showed off the company’s branding to the full. Manifestation can be both functional and creative at the same time. To comply with building and DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) regulations, full height glazing should be clearly identified with the application of manifestation. In many cases we apply simple geometrical shapes to the glass however this can be a lost opportunity to make a corporate statement. The Walls Have Ears The new premises at Pets Choice had large expanses of blank space that needed filling with interesting images. What better images for a pet food manufacturer to have than pictures of their customers which are of course dogs and cats. Lustalux duly obliged by printing full colour digital images onto transparent film and then mounting them onto various walls around the building. To give the images a bold vibrant look the process was to firstly UV print with white ink followed by a layer of colour to make the finished article stand out and not blend into the walls.
